We’re all about locs. Starting fresh, maintaining, or adding length with extensions, all in a studio built around care, education and experience.
Our story
Est. 2022
The LocPod opened in 2022 offering knotless braids, butterfly locs, natural hair, ponytails and wigs. We quickly found a gap that felt closer to our purpose, so we evolved into what you know today: a specialist loc studio.
Locs are not just a hairstyle; they’re a lifestyle. They speak to our roots, our strength and everything we’ve grown through. They represent growth, patience and identity, and for many of us they are spiritual, cultural and personal.
Even with all that beauty, locs have been judged for too long: called messy, unprofessional or unclean. We’re here to change that.

Everything we do is rooted in care, education and experience. Our studio is a space where you’re seen and looked after, and where your hair is treated with the respect it deserves. It’s about the health, maintenance and confidence behind the look, not just the look.
- We love your hair. Years of hair know-how, ready to create your best look with natural products.
- Only natural products. Our oils, mists and scalp treatments are handmade in-house.
- Professional locticians. Every loctician is trained in all areas of loc care, with a focus on presentation, professionalism and clear communication.
